Concrete Rust Removal In Action

Concrete Rust Removal

Rust has a tendency to become one with anything it chooses to. Rust primarily forms on many metals over a period of time and where moisture is apparent. But, did you know that rust can form on the concrete walls of your home and driveway? If you are reading the hub then you probably are having the same problems with concrete rust removal as I did a little while back.

I would say it has been a month since I had my little dilema with concrete rust removal. My problem was that I kept on having orange rust stains on the sidewalls of my home and also huge orange rust stains on the pavers in my drive way. The problem was I didn't know what these stains were or how they got there so I really couldn't figure out what I should use to remove those nasty stains.

I talked with some of my neighbors who were having the same problem and no one knew how or what these orange stains were. I then decided to do some research on the net and found some pictures of people who had the exact stains on their pavers as mine. I couldn't believe that the reason for these stains was the well water sprinkler system that i was using to water my grass and apparently paint my walls and driveway orange. These orange stains were actually rust stains.

Now my next challenge was how the heck am I going to find more information about concrete rust removal and not ruin the pavers or the finish of the side of my walls of my house. My main concern was I didn't want to use a concrete rust remover that had any phosphoric acid in it because that stuff will be brutal on my pavers.

I found some information about natural concrete rust removal using all natural rust removal products. And I did find out that there were a couple of concrete rust removers out there that had no acids in them what so ever. I decided to take a risk and try one of the natural concrete rust removers.

I was real impressed how easy it was to remove the orange rust stains on the walls. All I did was spray the concrete rust remover on a small portion of the wall to test it out and it made the rust stains disappear within 30 seconds. I was shocked! I finished spraying the concrete rust remover on the rest of the wall and watched it work its way to cleaning my wall spotless.

Next I did the same thing with the pavers but was a little more careful and tested a smaller area of my driveway to see if any color change was apparent. Same thing, the only thing that the concrete rust remover did was remove the orange rust stains from the pavers. I couldn't believe it was that simple.

Knowing where to start when it comes to concrete rust removal and knowing which concrete rust removers are the best for the certain areas of your home will take most of the hastle away from learning the basics to proper concrete rust removal.
